Find a road to adopt

Use our map to find available routes in unincorporated King County.

  • Review the Adopt-A-Road Program Overview to see if the program would be a good match for your volunteer group.
  • Complete an Application Form and send it to us using the contact information at the bottom of this page. Feel free to call or e-mail first to discuss road availability.
  • Once your adoption request is approved, you will receive a program orientation packet that walks you through the steps to register your group with the program.
  • After your group has completed the first cleanup, fill out and return a Recognition Sign Request Form.

Organize your cleanup

  • Select your preferred date(s).
  • At least two weeks in advance, call the Adopt-A-Road Program Coordinator to check the availability of safety kits for your preferred date(s).
  • After your date is confirmed with the Adopt-A-Road Program Coordinator, you can reserve your safety kit(s). You will also receive a roster of your group volunteers who have registered with the program and are eligible to participate in the cleanup event.
  • Each safety kit includes materials for up to ten people. Reserve as many kits as needed to ensure all volunteers will have materials available.
